2D/JRPG/Platformer
What I've achieved as the Lead Level Designer and Assistant Programmer
- Together with an team of 3 members we have crafted a traditional JRPG mixed with platformer elements
- Worked closely with the other members of my team to develop a complete world combined with interesting turn based combat 
- Designed and iterated upon level design and combat 
- Built all three level inside of the game from the ground up
As the team's primary level designer I was in charge of crafting the levels inside of our game. Each one of our levels has a unique feel and provides our players with new and interesting challenges as they progress. My second job on the team was as assistant programmer. This role allowed me to not only develop my skill as a programmer in C# but it also allowed me to better understand how to create interesting combat as I helped transform our combat from single player against single enemy to player and familiars against multi-enemy.
Reclaim is the project that team Time Warp had chosen to create for the later part of my sophomore year. Inspired by games like Final Fantasy and classic 2D platformers we wanted to create a fun and more casual experience for our players. Our players take the role of Scarlet a captured princess who has been overthrown by an evil replacement and must Reclaim her throne. We wanted our players to feel the suspense of JRPG combat while also being able to experience the fun of 2D platforming.
