3D/Multiplayer/Hero Shooter
What I've achieved as our Lead Enemy Designer
- Together with an overall team of 43 members we have crafted a mixture first person shooter and king of the hill defense gameplay
- Crafted Google Docs and Google Sheets documents to bring to life our enemies and create all of their behaviors, interaction, and all individual stats
- Kept a dedicated history of all changes made to our enemies including enemies that were scrapped due to time constraints
- Worked closely inside a functional team with programmers and artists to fully implement enemies into our game
- Designed and iterated upon enemy ability and stats through multiple rounds of playtesting
- Became a member of the Balancing functional team in charge of all enemy balancing inside of the game
As the primary designer in the enemy team, I was in charge of cross-team communication and cross-discipline communication between design, art, and programming. One of my most difficult tasks was keeping in constant communication between multiple teams and disciplines however through ongoing effort my team had stayed one of the most productive teams out of the entire capstone class.

Example of dynamic changes that happen as players progress through the game

The chaos of mid combat

Wicked Wizards is the project that my capstone team has chosen to tackle for the entirety of our senior year. Inspired by games like Orcs Must Die! our team Bad Magic wanted to put a twist on the established formula by introducing our players as the bad guys. Our players are evil wizards who are in the process of corrupting the land and must demolish the cute and cuddly forces of good who are trying to stop them. We want our players to feel power and joy as they leave nothing but carnage in their wake.
